PERSONALITY
Strange and whimsical, Gwylan lives within the forest outside the city that's filled with wolves, foxes, slimes and hybrids. He comes and go, disappears into the trees and appears out of nowhere when called for as long as an individual doesn't go past the lake. He's helpful, sweet and kind when he needs to be, but a shopkeeper that holds a lot of secrets. While he's the neighborhood forest's helping hand, one of his hobbies is hearing stories by the visitor's he meets. Not just any stories, he likes to hear about stories of the clothes they've obtained through their adventures, and the more interesting, the better. To avoid being a glutton, he'll only hear about so many a day, encouraging them to come back the next so he can hear more.
In exchange for hearing stories, Gwylan will begin offering services such using methods as a hypnotist to help the body or protect them from the dangers of the forest and city. These abilities are even able to save them from the malicious assaults of a deadly spirit, and the occult that wishes to corrupt the world. Allowing for Gwylan to do this will make the user more susceptible to his demands which he doesn't seem to mind at all...
Upon learning of Gwylan's role within the forest, for as old and wise as he appears to be, he's very, very tired of having to be responsible for the forest. While he wants to heal the forest from the sickness found within it, he can't help but grow distressed over his attempt to help. Having to offer his body over and over again and draw the sickness into himself to get rid of it, he understands the stress of the player character who is also abused by their fate while subjected to the harrowing story that lies underneath their erotic city.

BACKGROUND
The player first meets Gwylan when entering the "Strange Shop" at the entrance of the Forest. The interior is dark and the space is crowded with tall shelves with a wide variety of items. The player hears a thud as Gwylan appears at the end of the aisle holding a stepladder.
Gwylan greets the player, dropping the ladder and walking over. They welcome them to their shop, before lifting the player's hand and shaking it in both of theirs. They say they're pleased to meet the player, and tells the player they sell clothes and knick-knacks, "things you won't find in normal shops", before hesitating, wanting to say the shop is their grandparent's before thinking better of it.
Even Gwylan has no idea what they have in stock, sounding proud of this fact. They hope the player finds something they like before picking the ladder back up and telling the player not to worry if they don't, citing their grandparent telling them "the objects here hide from people they don't want to be bought by."
